If a great smile and trying your best is what you are looking for in a music student, 9 year old Solana Richards is a fine example. And even with her busy schedule that ranges from school, Karate classes, and doing the homework that I give her, she still tries her best during her lessons and always has a positive attitude. She is the kind of student that takes her time knowing that repetition is the key to remembering. And she is always happy to keep reviewing her previous lessons until she gets it right. This kind of patience and drive is not usually found in a student this young, So every time she say’s “let’s play Born in Chicago” or 3 o clock blues, it’s obvious that she knows what she likes and is definitely headed towards being a great musician. All she has to do is stay focused and practice. - JJ Rocks March, 2010
